Like an Academy Award (or any award for that matter) I have LOTS of people (and I do mean lots) to thank. Focusing in the now, I have to say thank you to my Auntie for asking me to present on John Wesley Smith in 2020. He's my great, great, grandfather. This appreciation comes as I realize this story is connected to who I am and what I do - with ambition, excellence and integrity.
Until I heard myself telling his story, it was unknown to me that this idea of the financial world and its inter-workings, flows through my veins - literally. The fact that my mom worked at the bank, is more than enough reason to share the world of money. The fact that my great, great, grandfather was one of the earliest recipients of the beginning of the U.S. Coast Guard pensions in the state for his role with as a surf-man is all the reason why my family's desire to have financial wellness is strong evermore.

One day I realized...
Everyone has financial knowledge.
Everyone has knowledge and information about money.
Everyone’s application of this knowledge varies.
Mine certainly did.
Have you ever measured your financial experience? Were you recently asked “what's your risk tolerance?” How do you file your financial information aka your taxes? How do you look "on Paper"? What does any of this mean? Why would anybody ask these kind of questions? And WHO, IN THE WORLD, has answers to them?
